Back Pain Treatments, Care, And Remedies

12. Diet

Consuming a wide variety of fruits and vegetables can reduce back pain. Brightly colored fruits and vegetables are anti-inflammatory. Apart from vegetables, green tea and olive oil have other anti-inflammatory properties that can alleviate back pain.

Consuming lean meats, beans, and low-fat dairy products is also beneficial. In addition, eat fish rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which have anti-inflammatory effects

11. Massage

Massage can improve circulation, which is crucial for proper body functioning. It brings oxygenated blood to the muscles and transports metabolic waste away from the internal organs. The increased circulation also improves flexibility and range of motion.

There are different types of massage, including Swedish massage and Thai massage.  Each differs in the hand movements and the amount of pressure applied.

10. Topical Creams And Ointments

Topical creams and ointments are effective for reducing swelling and pain. They contain active ingredients like menthol and capsaicin, which can be absorbed through the skin. They also work to reduce blood flow to the area that is causing the pain.

The natural smell of menthol and camphor is soothing and effective. These compounds have been used for millennia to relieve pain and refresh the body.

9. Acupuncture

Acupuncture works by inserting hair-thin needles into specific points on the body. These points send messages to the nervous system, which then releases endorphins, a chemical that relieves pain and improves mood.

Endorphins can also prevent mental health problems. People who undergo acupuncture treatments often report feeling refreshed and at peace during the session.
