She has also appeared in television shows such as “Workaholics” and “Super Fun Night.”

In addition to her acting career, Wilson is also a writer and producer and has produced several films and television shows.

Why Did She Want To Lose Weight?

During a consultation with her fertility doctor in 2019, Rebel was advised that her chances of successful egg harvesting and freezing would be greatly improved if she were to lose weight and improve her overall health.

At first, she was taken aback but eventually realized that she did have to lose weight.

“I was carrying around a lot of excess weight,” Rebel told People.

“It’s almost like I didn’t think of my own needs. I thought of a future child’s needs that really inspired me to get healthier.” (1)

Since then, Rebel has publicly stated that she has wanted to lose weight for health reasons.

In her interviews and social media posts, she talked about her desire to improve her overall health and fitness and to reduce the risk of developing certain health conditions such as diabetes and heart disease.

That was when she told her fans that she would prioritize exercise and aim to get her weight down to 165 pounds. Even though it took her two years to lose 80 pounds, she did it.

She credits the lockdown as a factor that allowed her to make changes to her lifestyle and replace unhealthy habits with healthier ones.

“I definitely think with the slow down, it did help,” she says.

“I think I was emotional eating, and overeating at times because I wasn’t loving myself enough either. And it does come down to that self-worth and self-love.” (4)

How Did She Lose Weight?

Rebel accidentally lost weight while filming “Cats.” She credits the high-energy dance scenes for her weight loss.

She started with walking daily. To make it more challenging, she also added weights to her routine.

She then went on to train with celebrity trainer, Jono Castano, seven days a week.

Rebel also increased her water intake.

She’s had trouble with emotional eating. Thankfully, she’s learned how to let go of things that stress her out and learn to focus on her mental health.

The decision she made in 2020 changed her life.

Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called ‘The Year of Health’—so I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it!” she wrote at the time.

She added, “Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?”

A balanced diet, exercising, and a positive attitude helped to get her the body she wanted.
