7. Aloe Vera
When applied to sunburned skin, aloe vera gel provides a calming and therapeutic effect. It helps soothes irritation and is effective against scabies. Research shows that aloe vera gel is just as effective in treating scabies as the standard prescription medication benzyl benzoate.
There was no evidence of any adverse consequences. While you can extract aloe vera from its petals, you can also opt to buy creams that contain 100% aloe vera.
6. Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil has been found to relieve itching and heal the rashes that come with scabies. It contains a safe level of fungicide that can act as an anti-inflammatory agent in the onset of scabies.
Tea tree oil also has an active component called terpinen-4-ol, which has been found to be effective in terminating mites.
5. Clove Essential Oil
The antibacterial, antioxidant, and anesthetic properties of clove oil contribute to its effectiveness as a therapeutic approach to eradicating scabies. It is a powerful insecticide that is safe enough to use on the skin.
Its pleasant fragrance makes it a very good treatment option since you will have to apply it to the affected area for a period of time.
4. Neem Oil
Neem oil is another safe and effective treatment option. It contains a large amount of azadirachtin, an anti-parasite chemical. Neem oil works by disrupting the hormone cycle of the parasite, causing the eggs to become infertile. It also inhibits the growth of the mites.
Neem oil can be applied to the affected area after a hot bath. It can be used for about 2 to 3 days as a treatment for scabies.
