There are several excellent foods that are beneficial for sciatica, and you should consider adding them to your diet. Certain foods have been shown to alleviate sciatic nerve pain, while others have been found to exacerbate it.
Changing your diet may appear not much to be a factor. However, adding these foods that aid sciatica to your diet will make you feel substantially better.
For example, avoid processed food. Due to their chemical content, processed food can exacerbate inflammation. Inflammation will intensify the discomfort around the damaged nerve, worsening your sciatica.
Instead, eat food with anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant characteristics to assist alleviate sciatica symptoms.

The authors of the study add that while a larger-scale study would be good, their findings show that antidepressant medication can be beneficial for lower back pain and is certainly safer than treatment with opioids.

Alternative treatments for sciatica may ease the pain. For instance, massage can aid in releasing muscles, which lowers pain and increases mobility and flexibility.
Acupuncture has also been shown to be an effective treatment for sciatica without the negative side effects of pharmaceutical pain medications. It is also a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment option for sciatica pain relief.
A chiropractor can manipulate the spine to increase spinal mobility, enhance spinal function, and lower pain.
